hoglaw Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Yep, it comes up fast and goes down fast. Though it didn't get this high with the last flood we got. This was a lot of water at once.
Stump bumper Posted June 19, 2015 Author Posted June 19, 2015 Lots of water, trees and current but with heat and sunshine I beat there are water skiers and wake borders all over the lake this weekend. Looks like this will take a while to pass along to Table Rock.
Members Chillfish Posted June 19, 2015 Members Posted June 19, 2015 Have any of you heard if the flood gates are open or not? I would like to take my wife out to see it this afternoon if they are.
JohnF52 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 Not open very much if any of last hour's data. But, the discharge has increased a bit. If the gates are totally closed I bet some waves are topping them.
Amery Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I'm considering bass fishing near the dam tonight, after dark. Is it just gonna be a waste of time?
Members LarryC Posted June 25, 2015 Members Posted June 25, 2015 A little blurb in the newspaper a few days ago said they would be doing maintenance work on the generators. They might make releases through the flood gates during the maintenance period. Of course we know the fish in the tail waters don't much like warm bath water. I just looked and nothing has come through the dam in a couple of days other than the minimum flow. Wonder when they will get done with the maintenance and start dropping it? Making Beaver Lake safe for all the little fish...one striper at a time.
Amery Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 The generators are down and they are currently releasing water over one flood gate.

Still no where to put the water, they will hold it in Beaver until they can pass it all the way through, so get used to a high water summer. A good current come fall turn over would make for a great fall fishing pattern, any way it goes the dog days will just be tough.
