waterpossum Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Stockton doesn't have quality fish. Too many pleasure fisherman keeping the big ones from the pros. Might as well throw that Ned rig and catch 50 twelve inchers. Confidence baits at their finest. Some lures catch bass no matter what. That's not a pattern to me. Quality fish change almost daily. Hard to predict. Would rather spend the time adding to the live well then stuck on a measuring board. IMO. Good luck and hope you whack em Im going up Sunday and hopefully I can post pics of some big bass, I want guys to see it can be done. Im going to post a video, im going to bring in some big bass to prove a point. Ned rig is ok but I have yet to see it pull in quality bass time after time. I will fish with a war eagle slow rolled. I will be fishing early and late and releasing my fish. I wanna show the critics the quality of bass on Stockton. Ill post at 10:00pm this coming Sunday night. There's a tournament out of State Park tonight from 7-1 Sac River Jim 1
inshore Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I don't think Stockton has the number of quality fish as table rock but there are plenty there. remember to catch big fish you have to target big fish. no doubt you can luck into a large fish but to catch them on a regular basis you have to go where they live and fish for those few big bites. I find it more fun to try to catch a bunch darn the size and if I get lucky with a big one great.
dprice Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 What will the winning weight be possum? Dprice priceheatingair.comÂ
dtrs5kprs Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Was going to offer to hold your hat and give you 10 minutes to draw a crowd, but the crowd is already here. Good luck with it. Folks...if you aren't catching good keepers with the Ned, say 3# fish with some regularity, you are probably fishing too fast, or have not lightened up your gear enough. It will kick out good fish, and is now, for lots of folks. Nathan Shaw and Sac River Jim 2

Sac River Jim Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 see you up there possum just fixing to hit the road. btl2short and i are fishing it together. good luck and whack em good my friend!!!!! D my guess is 17lbs depending on when the cold front moves in and if the bad storms hold off.
waterpossum Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 What will the winning weight be possum? Sorry for not responding yesterday. The winning stringer was 5 fish about 14.5 lbs. Only two lunkers (4+ lbs) weighed from 58 anglers. Pretty much the norm. Last week there were 4 lunkers from 68 anglers. As I stated earlier the numbers of bass are great, but quality is poor. Week after week the tournament results will substantiate this. The 1.5-2.5 fish are healthy. There is a void in 2.5-4.0 fish.
