John W Kelly Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 The Springfield Arts Council is having a show at The Creamery Arts Center this month, so I submitted a couple of trout photos. They are printed on canvas (40x28). From this exhibit, the visual arts committee will select artists to participate in an invitational which just happens to be titled "Caught My Eye". trythisonemv and Justin Spencer 2
moguy1973 Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 That's pretty cool. Wonder how many people look at the top one and think it's just and abstract painting. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
John W Kelly Posted June 10, 2015 Author Posted June 10, 2015 Thanks Jim! During the reception last Friday, I sat and watched people 'contemplate' the pieces and wondered what kind of thoughts they were conjuring up... I heighten the colors of them as a whole, but don't do a ton of editing otherwise. I usually try to find a good flat crop without much shadow, which helps the 'painting' effect.
Flysmallie Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 That one has to be perfect for Caught My Eye. Let us know how it goes. Both of them are great pieces. Â Â

Quillback Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Your pieces are the best on that wall in my opinion/
