Running boat motor on muffs.

Due to some issues I haven't been able to put my boat in the water for just over a year. I did siphon all the gas I could get out of the tank last summer, and I always used non ethanol fuel. Is is OK to start it and let it run with the muffs on as long as I don't take it above idle?

I have and several Shops run Muffs above idle. Me I like if I can leave it on Trailer, back into some water and run it.

Absolutely, Just keep RPM's below 2000.
