m&m Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 We launched at Moonshine around 7:30pm Saturday night. Fished the point on the left at the entrance to The Chateau's cove. Caught 5 SM (one keeper) on a PBJ Ned. One Keeper LM on a crank bait. only fished for an hour and then helped a fellow fisherman who was out of gas. He and his wife and child were out catching gills in a new boat. we towed them into Indian Point cove. I've been there and it was my turn to pay it forward. Thanks to Abkeenan for the tip on fishing that point. Plan to return there for a longer period. By the way when we moved off the point to begin the tow, a bow fishing boat was waiting nearby for us to move. They waited for almost 1/2 hour just floating around until we left. Thanks to them for their courtesy. Mike Codywskeeter1521 1

abkeenan Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Good to see you got on some fish Mike. Way to pay it forward on helping a stranded boat also.
Champ188 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 abkeenan set that whole thing up with the "out of gas" boat to keep you from hammering his fish. He's resourceful like that. Bet that boat had 25 gallons or more. abkeenan and Codywskeeter1521 2
abkeenan Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I thought adding the random woman and child in the boat was a nice finishing touch to the plan. Fool proof basically. Would take a real non-C&R'er to pass by and not help out a boater in distress.
Hammer time Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Nice act of kindness and paying it forward! You'll be rewarded sometime somewhere!
