Racked it off the sediment into a 5 gallon carboy to further clear and age. Final gravity came in at 0.996, so this should be pretty dry which is what I’m shooting for. Alcohol ~ 6.8%.

Nice!  Do you save and wash your yeast?

Nope. Yeast is cheap and I’ve got enough maintenance obligations. 😄

kegged the cream ale, you know the one I added the turkey stock to.  Fantastic beer, and since I added the stock so early in the boil, it really didn't give it any off flavors.  I did use flaked oats instead of flaked corn.  Gave it a richer flavor than the one my friend did with corn.  This ale came in a little over 4%.

Alright, 18 liters bottled. Will improve with age...

I’ll put a couple in the fridge and the rest in the ‘cellar’.

Welp, still a few of these down in the cellar.  It has improved with age. Tastes very much like a light-bodied white wine.

Thought I would shift the Meade making here instead of the Beekeeping topic I started. Some folks don't look at all the forum topics but do stray into the food threads more often. We had three bottles left from our first batch from March 6th. Was our first brewing attempt and we just did a gallon. We opened one of those bottles a couple weeks ago. It had mellowed out and did not have the bite it first had nine months ago. Very impressed.

Started another batch May 30th. This time three gallons. First rack it filled two full gallons. We just left it alone until today. Let's bottle it Pat said.

This turned out to be 20 12oz bottles and a bit to sip right away. Good but still has a slight bite that will mellow. Only been 6.5 months since it was started.

This has been fun and will probably do again. Only thing I really don't like using the honey from my bees. Takes a bunch.

Another addition I know @ness has some brew going at the moment too :) .

Good color, and nice and clear too!

Yep, we’ve got a couple things going. 6 gallons of a Chianti-style red wine from a Winexpert kit, and 5 gallons hard cider from a local cider mill. Wine is done fermenting and settling out. Should be ready to bottle in a week or two. Cider is still bubbling away nicely.

I just looked -- about 3 to 3-½ pounds of honey per gallon. How much honey are you producing? That does sound like a lot.

It is a bunch to use in Meade. I got seven gallons this season.  That roughly translates to 84 pounds.
