WeekendWarrior Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Lake came up over a foot and a half over night with 3 to 5 inches of rain. Pulling 44 CFU with more rain expected today. Wrench your pocket fish should really be good now ?. Went out yesterday with a buddy and it was pretty slow until we found a dock that was stacked with fish. Ended up with 9 keepers between us with mostly 15-16 inch fish but had one good one pushing 5 lb. and another 3+. Also had a bonus fish, caught a big walleye for the frying pan.
fishinwrench Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Awesome, good job! Yes sir, I'm loving all this water. I hope it holds at 660 for a week or so.
Members NianguaMark Posted July 1, 2015 Members Posted July 1, 2015 Incredibly nasty in the Niangua arm lots of debris floating down the lake . highest I've seen it in my 5 years of ownership. Chocolate milk for sure
WHARFRAT Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 They are shutting down the power to our docks until the water level subsides @lozcrappie Â
WeekendWarrior Posted July 1, 2015 Author Posted July 1, 2015 As of 2 o'clock lake is 661.08 and rising. Pulling over 51 CFS which is wide open I am guessing.
fishinwrench Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I'd love to see it top 662. C'mon RAIN SOME MORE!
fishinwrench Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I can't remember how high it got in '93 but they closed the lake off to all recreational boating for fear of dock walkway and seawall damage from boat wakes. I wanna say it got to 663 but I'm not sure. I do know that pitching in the bushes at 661 is a BLAST. I'd be out there right now if my daughter hadn't commandeered my truck ! Little Hefer!
Old plug Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I do not kmow what is or is going to be but I just spent about a hour securing a walkway that was not attached to the ramp properly by some expert. Had two old ladies in their 70s. for helpers. They better be real careful with the releases. You might just see 663 or better wrench. The conditions on the missouri are not good at all. My son oversees some commercial properties in back of the levies along the missouri in West St Louis County. The tennants are uneasy The corp has been out there inspecting a lot. They have been telling the tenants to stay away from the levies. There saturated and soft as well. It might just take something like a big release from LOZ to cause a break and flooding. it has happened before.

I should be out tonight but waking up last 2 mornings at 4 am and fishing those 2 days kicked my butt and I have honeydoos before wife gets home
