I have a lightly used Jackson Coosa looking to sell or trade.

Extras:

-Lowrance Elite 3x fish finder with sun cover

-seadek Kit

-Garmin eTrex 30 GPS with RAM mount

-Jackson Sweetcheeks airbag seat

-26ft Flexi dog leash anchor

I love this kayak but I'm a bigger guy so I'm wanting to move to a Jackson big rig. $1000 OBO or trade for big rig. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Where are you?

Second trip out in my Coosa yesterday. The seat is extra comfy. I don't feel like I am slumming it when I swap back into my Tarpon 120, but the dry ride and little extra height is not a bad thing. Coosa's are good boats.

Glad you got this one! My wife really likes the one I got from Bigs. I've only done 15-20 miles in it so far. Does not track as well as my 14'8" solo canoe, but it's a comfy stable ride. Nice ride to fish from.

Yo G,

My wife bought me one from OMTC for my birthday. I would have held off longer, but so it goes. I appreciate the gift and I have already enjoyed it.

There is no one perfect boat or fishing rod or automobile or firearm. I love how comfortable and dry the seat is on the Coosa and I like the extra elevation, but it most definitely is a slower boat than my Tarpon and does not track as well. The lack of tracking also means you can swing that nose around in a hurry when you REALLY need to do so. The higher seat also means less stabilty.

I stood up in mine yeasterday and while I managed to do so without falling in, I'm not sure how practical that's going to be for fishing. My elderly inner ear is likely gonna call BS on that.

Its going to take a while for me to work out how I want to store everything for easy access though.

What a nice gift from your wife! So this boat is still for sale. The tarpon does track better, but I really enjoy floating a Coosa. Still in the learning curve cuz I'm used to soloing canoes. Tended to over correct of the get go. The thing spins on a dime. Can't wait to run some shut ins with it.

Slanding is fine for me, but Up and down takes some practice. Again, learning curve. I stand and fly cast and walk all over my 17' tandem canoe. Not used to an 11' boat.
