slab slinger Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 For the last 4 yrs I have planned a jug line trip for the weekend after the fourth of July and was thinking about changing to another month. What month do you think is the best for running lines on the lake? Thanks
oneshot Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 For some reason I'm thinking October, figure they will be on the feed before Cold weather. Now Blues different story, colder the better, find them stacked in holes. oneshot
Bird Watcher Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I personally like this time of year for numbers of "eaters". They usually spawn in June and by July they are ready to hang out on the flats and gorge on shad.
Terrierman Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I have a friend who has a place at Osage Bluff. He says October is best for blues.
fishinwrench Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Saw two blues the other day on LO that I thought something was wrong with them, they were along a channel bank near the surface twirling around like they were about to die. I assume that is spawning activity? Never seen them do that before.
