LoweSTX175 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 September is a good time of year for me on stockton. Done well over the last few years (mid/late september) with walleyes trolling tail dancers and flicker shads, and jigging worms. Ill be down there this year too i think, maybe ill see ya down there! Its the same technique as the summer pattern but usually they are shallower 13-15ft. Trolling always catches me at least a few crappies on stockton no matter what time of year ive been out there (never in the dead of winter), but there are probably better ways to catch em in september. All that said...."doing well" for me is catching more than one keeper and a few shorts among non target species, so its all relative. That one guy that caught 111 in one day...thats more walleye than ive caught on stockton in my life, id do what he does lol. I'll get with you before I finalize when I'm going to be down there. Might be an opportunity to divide and conquer the lake. I will typically get three or four walleye to keep each trip (4 days on the lake). This year it seemed like they had some size to them for me. Lots of 20+ inchers found the deep fry this year.

Yes please do! I would say that 90% of my experience on stockton comes from between the mile long bridge and the twin bridges. Also those islands around masters. Never been up the rivers, and only fished the dam end a few times. LoweSTX175 1
Members Kdub Posted July 31, 2015 Members Posted July 31, 2015 I agree with mjk86. I'm still looking for my first Walleye limit. I've been mighty excited to get up there reading these reports. I'll be up sat. eve. thru mon. afternoon. Look for a camo Crestliner TC17. I'll most likely be in the northern part of the Big Sac arm. Pull up and say hi, I would love to meet some of you guys.

I normally launch at Mutton and either head north to Hawker and work back, or I'll run up birch branch or go even further to south to almost CC then work all the way back to the launch. Depending on what the word on the board is, I'll probably drift the flats in September.
slab slinger Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Sept crappie and on into late fall the fish can be scattered as far as depth goes. Pole timber and piles are your best bet for catching numbers of crappie but I like to mark and fish piles best. Aggressor1988long 1
kwall Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Imt --- there's a few of us on here still waiting to hear the secrets on how to catching 111 walleyed on Stockton . You really hot some of us wondering from looking at some of the responses on here -- all we got from ya' is pretty vague, lol
Aggressor1988long Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Your not cause its Bs its away of the guide to make money.
Aggressor1988long Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Any guide who gets on here running his mouth on posts would you take merit in that? I sure inthe hell wouldnt.
Walleyedmike Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 Your not cause its Bs its away of the guide to make money. Um, I don't think lmtout is a guide. He's just a dude that fished with his wife for a couple of days and tore it up. This thread was started by Bob Bennet who is a guide and backs up his reports with actual photos of fish that were caught by his clients on the day that he reported about. I've chatted with Bob at the Hartley ramp before, I have no reason to believe he is anything but a stand up guy. I don't know lmtout, but I do know lundone who saw lmtout catching many walleye. So, in my mind his report is completely credible. WM Hunter91 and fishbait3 2
lmt out Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I am definitely not a guide. And Walleyed Mike is correct I was fishing with my wife. And My sister and Brother in law were fishing next to us for the day and a half. They caught 26 walleye in the same amount of time.. I knew that I would be questioned about my truthfulness as I do not have any pics. Again I was fishing 15 TO 20 deep on bottom bouncers with spinner rigs and half a crawler.
