I used two baits last Sunday. Ned and a 3/8 oz. War Eagle spinnerbait. All of my big fish bit the spinner, but i had a few good fish on the Ned rig too.

The biggest fish of the day. 22"

Yep, you will loose a few with a pinched barb,,,,,,,,,but you will be able to remove so many more deeply hooked smallies and therefore not kill them. That way they will continue to live and grow and my grandkids will be able to catch them later.
