J-Doc Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 I am predicting that this spectacular weather will create a flood of anglers like a small gold rush. I've already heard rumors of water in the low 80's and upper 70's. That's a major temp drop that should create feedbags being strapped on. Most folks go to the woods to hunt in October and November and then settle in for the winter. Not I. I'm an all year angler. As I was walking into the office this morning, thoughts of campfires and crisp cool mornings with fresh coffee entered my mind. Which made me want to cry like a girl because I was not sitting at a campfire, with fresh camp coffee, looking over the lake as the sun rose. Anyone else looking forward to the colder weather? I'm guessing that's pretty much everyone on this board. LOL! PigSooner, kjackson, Luckyj and 3 others 6 Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. fishinwrench Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 If deep fish are too stupid to evacuate water with depleted oxygen then how are they smart enough to realize that surface temps have cooled 10 degrees ? Champ188 1

You're exactly right. And no, they have not. They are still deep. As of today I'm told. Will be a few more weeks of cooler weather before they go all John Pinette at a Chinese buffet! Dan the fisherman Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Oh I can't wait!! I'll do some deer hunting the first week of bow season and after that I'm back on the water... I'm read for cooler temp.. I'll probably take the family out to HSB and camp for a week or so within the first couple of October. Just like u said Jdoc. Camp fires some coffee in the mornings sounds great! Lance34 1

Champ188 Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 And football. Hogs football. NFL football. Any kind of football except that abomination them furriners play with the round ball that ain't even real football.
J-Doc Posted August 21, 2015 Author Posted August 21, 2015 Some of my favorite days are home games when the Hogs play. Because I have the entire lake to myself! Need marine repair?
