Tenkiller?

Sorry to interrupt your regular scheduled programming. Anyone been to Tenkiller lake lately? Going tomorrow and I'm unfamiliar with the lake. Been waiting for it to drop back to normal. Any ideas or areas you folks recommend? Taking drop shots and jigs for sure.

I used to fish the Cookson Bend area. You will find the lake to be a small and older version of TR. What you do on TR should work there, although I do not know its current thermocline depth and that will affect everything.

What thermocline?  I think they drained it out.  Nothing but warm water coming out of the dam.

Think your right Daddy. Reports are fish being caught anywhere from 3-20ft. I'm gonna stick to main lake points and see how it goes.

I've only made one trip over and that was in the Spring, but I know the fish are in there. Lots of them.

Sitting at Cherokee Landing ramp. Bad lightning and rain. Gonna wait a while.

Same thing going on here, had some pretty strong winds come through before the storm got here.

Had about an hour window between cells. Caught 7 so far on drop shot. All shallow. Less than 5 feet. Try a jig in the same spots and they won't touch it. Must be a looking up day.

Ended up with around 20 total bass, couple of perch and a drum. Got a lot tougher after the sun came out.

20 bass in August is a great day.
