Good morning my Internet friends - back out at 6:14:51 GPS time and the fog was not as bad so I kicked it up a notch and ran 5.5 MPH up to Fall Creek....a beautiful morning it was - above the fog was the stars - pretty darn peaceful, but that is not the reason that we are here.

Same pattern as the past couple of days - pink TM 7' below the float...caught 2 before a real nice one just made the float dissapear quicker than Kirby here in town. The fight was on and he was pulling drag - got him up to the boat to net - line broke....WHAT???....I wached as the float went deeper and deeper....so if you happen to catch a nice rainbow today with a green float and a pink TM in his mouth I claim first dibs, PM me and I will tell you were to ship it....this time I did tie on another rig and so much time had passed that I was almost down to Trout Hollow.

I made the run back up and caught 5-6 more with many many misses - and if the float had a hook I would have caught a dozen more as the fish were up pecking at them all day. I did also notice a lot of followers. On the next pass I switched it up to a brown head, brown jig 1/16th and caught one - but a ton of followers.

I did discover that they wanted some action so the more that I snapped it the better I did -

I also fished on Labor Day just below outlet 2 with lots of waders and people on the bank. There was a nice bite going on for about an hour, between 7:30 and 8:30 am then it was slow. Caught one nice 18 inch brown on a gray scud below a pheasant tail nymph. Had something huge that decided to go downstream, got into my backing before it broke off the 6x tippett. First time back wading since the water flow has slowed down. Had a great time!

I went back out this a.m. (Tuesday Sept. 8th) and the results were very different. I could not get a bite on the TM....a few tugs but that was about it. I switched up to a 1/16 orange head sculpin color jig. I was able to have the best success using it - but I had to get to the bottom for anything to happen.

I then got to thinkin about that San jaun red worm so I looked at the many $$$ of tackle in that boat and the only thing that I had that might even be close was a micro jig wrapped in red over white. Tied it on - put the float 5' above it - first cast - WHAM landed a nice one....that seemed to be the ticket for the balance of the morning until the monsoons came. Caught 4 or so.

Since it was raining I went to Sportsman Warehouse.....

I think it was slow for most everyone except the guide as I didn't see many pulling fish in.

We were fishing on Tuesday morning too.   Dad and I Along with my nephew were having a pretty good time dragging scuds, 1/8 white jigs, ava night crawlers.   We would run up to fall creek and drift down to trout hollow then repeat.   We boated a nice number of bows and a half dozen browns, nothing really but stocker size.

Did boat one 21in brown at the hole at fall creek,  And managed a small electrical fire from the trolling motor plug at the same time as netting the brown.

Then the rain hit and we went home soaked.

My dad and I fished up there Saturday and Sunday.  Caught a bunch of fish on pink SJWs and scuds.  The boat traffic was almost too much to deal with.  Had a guy on a jetski blast past us at least four times right up by the dam.  It was crazy.
