Anyone on here from NE Alabama or NW Georgia.  I'm going down that way this spring, and I want to take a try at catching Shoal bass.  Need some advise.

Craig fishes for shoalies down there. I know him from when he lived up in Illinois . He is a very good fisherman. He was very active in the Illinois Smallmouth Alliance, still comes up for the annual banquet and is an accomplished fly tier and designer .

what a long strange trip it's been , put a dip in your hip, a glide in your stride and come on to the mother ship , the learning never ends

Mic - GA has a great interactive fishing map with aerials that I used to find shoal and red eye bass. I caught shoal bass fishing the Upper Ocmulgee River in Jasper county north of Macon. The section I fished was pretty fast water with a lot of rock. I was successful using top water walking baits. Hopefully this helps a little. Good luck and let us know how you did.

Yea I won't get to go.  I thought they were in NE Alabama. That was stretching my limit.  So SW AL and Georgia (opposite from where I will be) will be to far.  I'm hoping to fishing something called/like the Little Grand Canyon.  It is supposed to be remote and a great float.  I need to find a guide or canoe service.

Still I hope that you have a good time and let us know how you do.
