ollie Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Hooked up with Buzz for a morning of fishing on Capps. We got there around 8 and got ready for the day. Hit the water there shortly afterwards. What can I say other than it was a slow day. We both only managed one to hand and they weren't very big. We were hoping that since they stocked Hickory they would have stocked Capps. Maybe they did, but we didn't find them! We spent some time there and then packed up and headed back to Hickory. There Buzz caught a few and I only managed one again. The fish at Hickory are spooky already and the water is down and gin clear. Makes it tough for sure. It was a beautiful day to be out though and that was good. We ended up calling it quits around 12:30. I went back out again in the evening to Hickory and I only managed one again. Thought the evening bite would have been better, but it wasn't. trythisonemv, BilletHead and jtram 3 "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Buzz Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Still a good day to be on a creek. Maybe next month will be better. trythisonemv 1 If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
