Fishrman Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Fished full day today out of Shell Knob, water temp. was 67 caught some early on spinner, one good keeper out of a cedar, had few out of cedars, but too many cedars with nothing. Had 2 more on both good ones threw spinner at the boat. Caught one on whopper it was over 4, and 2 more on buzz off of wood. 4 keepers and about 20 total. It was tough although some may not think it, but I worked hard to get those bites, they were few and far between. All keepers in the boat were blacks, all at 3 or over. So for 4, had good weight. Members JWT Posted October 30, 2015 Members Posted October 30, 2015 That sounds like a good day to me... I wonder how much longer the plopper is going to be hot. Just waiting for the ''crappie plopper'' to turn up. I think they should probably call it something else though Bassmod 1

merc1997 Bo Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 that is not bad for a chunk and wind day. great average weight too. i can remember those day, especially back in the 12v trolling motor days, that we would burn up two sets of batteries in a day of fishing. i guess that i am just too old and cranky to love doing that all day anymore. but, if i were casting for cash and it came down to it, i would do it. with the water cooling down, and on the right nasty day, there will be some lights out shallow fishing. that is why table rock is a fun lake to fish, especially when the wake makers go home, you can almost always fish a shallow or deep pattern. bo dan hufferd 1
Quillback Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 That's a good day Fishrman, the keepers aren't coming easy, and to boat 4 nice ones is pretty darn good. Bassmod 1
Hammer time Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 That's a great outing! I believe the fish are still scattered making it a cover some water type of fishing. Thanks for posting and congratulations on your great results. Champ188 1
