ollie Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Who is going this year? I will be down there on Friday in white Ford Ranger. Will anyone be doing the breakfast thing this time around? ollie Posted November 4, 2015 Author Posted November 4, 2015 Yes Bassman you are correct! I think Buzz is going as well, but not sure on him. ollie Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 For those who didn't make it out - you missed out! Fishing was fantastic! It was non stop action from 8 on. Buzz had 50 in like 2 hours and I ended up with a total of 50 for the day. I think he caught over 80. Nothing huge, but the biggest probably was around 16". Didn't get the camera out for those. Did anyone else on here go? If you went then you know how good the fishing was. Shoot there was one hole where I lost almost everything on my jig, but they would still hit it. Good times for sure. laker67 1 "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Foghorn Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Wife Susie and I fished Friday and Saturday and you are correct in your fishing report.Lots of nice size fish and we ended up catching 5 over 3# in two days. Think I may have been fishing next to Buzz as I saw a guy catching them well and thought I might have known him. He resembled a younger John Tepple from Kansas and thought he could have been one of John's younger brothers. Saw a truck with the license plate BUZZ and by the time I put 2 and 2 together he was gone. Saw the usual mishandling of a couple big fish and did get wet enough to revive one that a guy had beached and let lay long enough for a picture. Saw another one a young lad paraded around with in his net and posed for a couple pictures and then found his trophy bottom up .Beautiful weather and with the exception of busty my fanny in the leaves and Susie almost going in head first, it was a great day to be out in the Ozarks. laker67 1
