mic Posted November 30, 2015 Author Posted November 30, 2015 I was watching a video on wet fly fishing by the famous wet fly guide in Arkansas... Wooten I believe (i'm bad with names). He suggested that one can use finer tippets on a swing, after the line goes tight, by taking your finger off the line and let the drag take the hit. He suggested that the drag when added with the fishing diving back to the bottom would be enough to set the hook. One has to set the drag for the operation, but it makes sense to me. I'm going to give it a try.
jtram Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I took a trip with Davy Wotten 2 yrs ago. I learned more in 8 hrs than I could process. (also caught nearly 150 fish in the process). If you can afford it let him take you out, its unbelievable.

He will teach you more in one day than you could probably learn by yourself in a year. If you can afford it, it's a tremendous time savings and learning experience.
