Buzz Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 I'm sure I'll have a story for you Ollie..... Lol ollie 1 If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ollie Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 Weather is not looking good for this year. I will be down there no matter what, but as the time gets closer I will keep you up to date. Buzz Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 It's supposed to quit raining sometime Saturday. I'm not too worried about the lower temps. I'm more concerned about the creek coming up or even flooding. We've gotten 2.5 inches here so far. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ollie Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 Yea, when I crossed over Shoal today it was bulging at the banks. I think it will be up a lot, but we will see. trythisonemv Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Nice to meet both of you today! Good day for fishing lol Buzz 1
Buzz Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 It was good meeting you too. It was tough fishing today, but we caught a few and Ollie wins this year. Now I have to listen to him gloat for another year. Lol trythisonemv 1 If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ollie Posted November 30, 2015 Author Posted November 30, 2015 YES! I have stream cred and you don't! lol Great day even though it was tough. The rain was relentless and just kept up with a steady drizzle to a small shower. It was tough to say the least. We started up at the dam and I thought for sure that was going to be my big brown for the day coming from there, but no one got a bite from there so we headed downstream. I am still feeling jaded from that spot. So we went downstream from the bridge and we noticed the fish were feeding on top. Coming up and sipping bugs. trythisonemv got started early and first with two in within a few minutes. I was like getting worried I wouldn't catch anything at that point. Buzz was coming up goose eggs1 as well. After trythisonemv caught those 2 the rain started to come down. Seems like after that I started catching fish. They switched from on top to under the water, better for me throwing the jigs. I caught 4 out of that hole and buzz almost caught one, but it broke him off. After getting soaked I moved to under the bridge and didn't get a bite. I think the other two struck out there as well. After that we moved down to the middle part of the stream and fished the rest of the day pretty much there. I didn't catch any more and Buzz caught one more and I think trythisonemv caught another. It was tough and water was at a strong flow. It was fishable, but not under ideal conditions as you can imagine. I again will gladly accept the burden which is mine of being the master of Capps. Bahahahaha It was nice meeting trythisonemv. Looks like we might fish again this year. I go a LOT to Capps in the winter time. It doesn't always produce numbers, but it is very pretty and relaxing. Oh yea, I would have had a fish pic of Buzz and his fish but luck wasn't on his side. trythisonemv Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 They were hugging the bottom everywhere except that one place. It was nice to see a good may fly hatch there. Buzz caught a nice one at the middle access and I caught an ok one as well. Buzz 1
