Guest Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 We fished from 2-5pm. Most of the bluff fish moved into the feeder creek coves that have a mudline. The mouth of the cove to the halfway point seemed to be the ticket. Muddy water mixing with stained water. Temp was 59 degrees, just like sunday. The Rock crawler & wiggle wart accounted for 90% of the fish. I caught 2 keeper size largemouth on a firetiger square bill. All total we had 32 bass, mostly spots. Our best 5 were LMB weighed about 9-10lbs. Pretty good day, given that we only fished for 3 hours.

Mitch f Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Did you catch 10 species today? LOL "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Guest Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Mitch, we had largemouth, spots & meanmouth. They made us work for them today, because I fished new water for 2 of the 3hrs. When the bluff fish weren't home, I knew right away that I needed to find runoff. There was a log jam about 300 yards long plowing every slowly towards the main river from a large feeder creek.
Guest Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 The pasty white largemouth showed up today. Right around that logjam.

Pretty cool you adapted, it takes a while for them to completely move out of an area except for a catastrophic event ( like this rain). Good job! "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Dan the fisherman Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Hmmm. Very informative,. No spinner bait bite?
Guest Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I didnt throw the spinnerbait, but I betcha a spinnerbait & brush hog would do some damage.
