LarrySTL Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 A couple more late suggestions. Keep hunting til you find one of the older rogues with the shallow lip; they made them tho they were never popular. There is also a standard size rogue with a lip smaller than the one most people use for the early spring jerkbaiting thats very popular where you are. Plan C, get a get a file or a dremel and an old crummy rogue you dont care about and start in on the bill til you know how much of it to remove to get a specific depth. I know guys who have four or five different depths of rogues that are modified way. http://intervenehere.com
Moswimb8slinger Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 S-waver 168(party crasher or hitch), start a slow retrieve as soon as it hits the water. When it reachs the hump give it a slight tug and slack, it'll glide off to one side about a foot or 2 and suspend/start a slow fall, then bam. Or take a Spro bbz1 Jr or 4" shad floaters (lavender shad or natural shad). Throw it pass the hump, slow roll over it, stop and let it sit for a second and give it a twitch or 2, let it sit then start to slow roll it again. They'll either hit it after the twitches or when you continue the slow roll retrieve. That's what I would do...
