Put in at 9:30 and started on mainlake bluffs and swings with fb jig in white river caught 3 real quick with one keep and thought gonna be good day. I was wrong, fished almost to big m caught 6 more and keeper brownie.

Deceided to run up the Kings to deer bluff and work back to ramp. Wind picked up so tried multiple crankbaits caught lots of shorts so back to jig and caught keeper black. Water temperature was 57 and change almost everywhere I was.

Highlight of my day was on opening hole spotted bald eagle perched on cedar up the bank and quietly got closer to him than any other in my life took the best photo I could.

Tight lines and CPR

Not a terrible day by any means, Hammer. We can't all catch 15-20 keepers every trip.

Love the eagle shot. I had one sailing around pretty close the other day myself. Gorgeous creatures.

So you caught lots of crank bait fish in the Kings but mostly short?

Nice Hammer..sounds like you had a good day...Love the Eagle shot.

Caught a few up around shell knob bridge this afternoon....most fish where holding in 20 - 40 FOW...fished a couple of coves, none where keepers caught them on bandit 200 crawfish colored.

I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!

Not complaining at all Champ, always love just being on the water.

And yes lots of shorts and mostly spots on deep little n, fat free shad, wart and crawler tried about everything but all shorts. So back to fb jig.

I am sure somebody killed em on a crankbait but not me and I chunked it a bunch, probably too long.

Hammer, thanks for the report. Great pictures. I'll be up around flat creek today and hope I have as good a day.
