Rapala ice jig

I went to academy & picked up a couple 1/2oz Strike King Rage Blade Blasters, I have no idea what Im doing, but Im going to force them into deep water. Maybe something will find them cool enough to bite.

Interesting handle you have there?? I like the 1/2 oz size you should look at the shiver minnow as well, I own some but have not tried them yet.

Thanks Dan!  Yeah my handle is odd I suppose. I love to fish (not good at it but still love it) and I love to tell people about Jesus. Specifically what He has done for me. Jesus coined the term first so I am just a copy cat. Haha.

What model (size & length) of rod and reel do most of you use with the ice jig and spoons.  What line type is preferred?  I am going to give these baits a try next time I'm down.

That is what I was hoping you would say, these days you never know. I am not good at fishing either, but this year has been great walleye fishing for me. I have learned so much from everyone on this forum. I am still looking for the big walleye, but I have caught several 21" and under.

I am a Sunday school teacher at a church near Avilla Mo.  It has been a pinnacle time in my life.
