Ben Gillispie Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 While I don't have any realtime temp. devices reporting as of yet, I thought that while I am working out the kinks on them I'd post some general lake temps that I've acquired. These lake temps, taken by hand and shown in degrees Fahrenheit*, are as follows: **** 12-24-2015 - Added/Updated a few temps for TRL***** Indian Point Marina: 55.7 ° State Park Marina Launch: 55.7 ° Cricket Creek Marina: 53.8 ° Water definitely has more color down at Cricket Creek than up the big lake by the Dam and is cooler. Lots of guys at Cricket Creek, reports on here explain why. Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas, I'll update temps lake-wide soon after Christmas, with this weather though not much is changing... Ben ******* Updated 12/19/2015 with additional measurements. See my site for details on time of day, depth of water, and exact location. Please keep any discussions on this topic here on OAF as I'm simply providing temperature information and nothing more Near Aunts Creek/ HWY Y: 54.6 Flat Creek near Cape Fair: 48.3 Cape Fair Marina: 52.6 Shell Knob near Pizza Hut: 54.3 Viola Public Use / Kings River Marina: 53.5 Eagle Rock Marina: 50.8 Holiday Island Marina: 50.3 Beaver Lake Observation Loop, just because: 55.3 *****Below is from 12/18/2015***** Long Creek Marina: 53.9 Combs Ferry: 53.6 Baxter Public Use Area: 53.2 High and Dry Kimberling City MO: 54.3 Indian Point Marina: 54.2 Moonshine Beach: 54.8 *Note: there is more information on the sun, shade, time of day, depth and other factors on my website which is http://www.tablerocktemperatures.com/index.html I'm going old-fashioned for now while I get all my hardware, costs, etc. lined out. Hope to move forward and have true realtime temps by the spring warm up! P.S. I would love some feedback. Please check the website for details regarding my methods, locations, etc...these are surface temps for the time being. My probes will be placed according to feedback I've received here, so keep it coming! Ben Hammer time, big c, dtrs5kprs and 2 others 5
Champ188 Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Ben, this is some of the most valuable info ever posted on OAF. From now thru April, water temp is probably the single most important factor to all bass anglers. crappie_adams83, 176champion, crazy4fishin and 1 other 4

Hammer time Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Killer information Ben, water temperature is always my first concern second is clairidy! It's awesome to have "real" time info like you're providing! It's priceless! Many thanks! Ben Gillispie 1
Ben Gillispie Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 Added temps for: Cooper Creek Access (Taneycomo): 55.3 (!) - isn't this high? Bull Shoals at Powersite (Upper Bull Shoals Lake): 53.0 (see site for details...lower Taneycomo surface water was flowing through Powersite gates, which likely caused an artificial up-tick in temp) Beaver Creek Marina (Bull Shoals): 51.8 Ben Quillback and dtrs5kprs 2
