Tx Dave, yes update us on your success.  I love to throw jerkbaits, I usually mix um in even when i'm jig fishing.   If your in good brown territory, they increase your chances of hooking a big hungry one.  I've thrown a few different colors and kinds, but my favorite trout color is also my on of my favorite bass ones, if you try a megabass, get an elgony bone color, I really like that one.   Seth mentioned those RC STX baits, I've had good luck with those as well for a lot less money..  Good Luck!

There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

I have caught a lot of trout on the lucky craft dd. I think it's an 85 size if there is such a thing. Not sure what model it is exactly, but I have a box full of them. An ito 110 has caught some fish, and the old Rapala husky jerk in rainbow trout which they don't make anymore.

I haven't zeroed in on the magic ONE. I throw a few different sizes and depth seekers and see what gets action.

I'm a fan of the Spro McStick 110. Good bait for the price. It's my go to confident bait for Browns this time of year. It's put 20#+ fish in the net.

I fish the White a lot and stick with some simple options if I'm throwing a jerk bait.  Husky Jerk, CD or Jointed Rapalas is what I will stick to if I'm throwing a jerk bait.  I'm more of a fly fisher, but I do enjoy bouncing a jig or throwing a suspending bait.  Colors, black and white, gold and white or something with an orange belly.

Really quick, the cost of some of  some lures is ridiculous. It's been a long time since I seriously fished for Largemouth and I would have to really justify buying any lure for 20 or 30 dollars. I know the prices rise with demand and inflation, but seriously check this out   http://www.cabelas.com/product/fishing/swimbaits/hard-swimbaits|/pc/104793480/c/104775480/sc/104375880/deps-slide-swimmer/2225324.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Fhard-swimbaits%2F_%2FN-1100350%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104375880   You better catch some serious fish to justify 100 dollars on one lure.  Could you imagine losing this thing?  Grief, good luck justifying that to your wife.

Not a lot of reviews on that lure i noticed lol.  100 bucks for a lure that costs the manufacturer less than 20 dollars to make is a tough pill to swallow.
