If given a choice, I will almost always go 1 piece, BUT I can't say that I really have ever noticed a dead spot in any rod from it being a multi-piece rod. I have 4 piece fly rods and 3 piece travel spinning rods. I have no complaints with them.

I know that you're not a one trick pony, but for the good of the group, I think they would be on the light side for Ned fishing.

It felt pretty close to the antique All Star UL's I was playing with for "fun Nedding". Sort of a Mag UL maybe. But, no, it would not be enough for general purpose bass finesse.

Ham...Planning to order the blank we talked about today. May also order the L. Have been going back and forth on 6'8" vs. 7'2". They offer both powers in both lengths.

The Fenwick Elite Tech River Runner I have is the ERR-69L-FS-2. It is light, it is comfortable. Reel stays secure. Throws light jigs well. Still sensitive. Very forgiving rod to protect skinny line. It's just a lot softer than the Air Stream. It's also a lot more expensive. I think you could buy 2 Air Streams for the cost of one River Runner. I'd rather have the Air Stream, but the River Runner was a warranty replacement for a Elite Tech that a kid I took fishing broke. It performs much better than the broken rod, Lol.

Yup thats the exact same one that i have.  I like the fenwick warranty alot too.  I broke the butt of an aetos in a car door, and they sent me a replacement no questions asked.  The great part is that they send me a whole new rod, so now i have a spare tip section when i break that off!  I am ALWAYS in the market for a new light power crappie rod, Im gonna be ordering one of these for sure...especially since its cheap!

I break off the tip of all my 1pc rods if they are longer than 6ft, almost completely converted to 2pc rods now (gotta couple of 1pc rods hanging on).  :(  Car doors, truck beds, and door jams are just murderers of high modulus graphite rods.

There was no need, but I bought an Air Stream for myself. I played with my Air Stream on a river yesterday and I'm afraid I'll have to quit recommending the Dorber OMT's. The Air Stream throws better and is a little lighter in weight. I also love the Air Stream reel seat.

I don't look forward to the Air Stream price going up and up and up, BUT I bet it does.

The 6 foot Medium Medallion bait caster is my creek bait casting rod. Very sweet rod. Love it. I have several bought on sale with tags intact. Does every thing I could ask of it, but the one I'm talking about I bought years ago. I would hope they have no ruined it in the mean time.

The air stream and medallion showed up yesterday.  Air stream is a 7ft ultra light 2pc.  It's funny how different companies have totally different ideas of rod power and action.  Def feels more like a light power fast action maybe even a med light.  Either way....it's about the best rod I've seen for 50 bucks.  Very light.   Good reel seat.  Decent guides...well put together.  Correct that it is a bit stiffer in the mid section than the river runner (I'd like a med light fast river runner) and well....it was 50 bucks.  This will be a perfect rod to 32 and 16th oz jigs.  1/64th is always the ultimate test.  So I'll test that out.   I will be ordering 1 or 2 more of these rods asap.

The medallion I ordered was 6 9in 1pc med light.....disappointed.   the list price was 100 bucks on sale for 50.  It's bulky heavy and awkward.  It's very tip heavy.  Even with a size 40 reel it lurches forward.  I have 2 berkeley Cherrywood rods and a pflueger Trion rod/reel combo that I would compare it to for good reference.   Odd that the list price is higher on the madalion but it's not nearly as well put together.  Much rather have another air stream.
