Dewayne French Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Went out yesterday afternoon to break the new boat in for a couple hours and WOW...(COLOR)... Put in at Henderson (mid-lake) to a heavy stain color and it was every where. I made the slow run all the way to the DAM and to Elizabeth Boat ramp and back, along with every little cove and Island in between and never saw clear water as we know it. Did see a few boats out but only the STB guys where fishing all the bass rigs were moving. Any good luck lately, I have been working to much.
Ham Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Yep, Water coming thru the dam is pretty stained. It is a similar situation at TR; water coming thru the TR dam is off colored. The heavy rain actually colored up the entire lake. It seems counter intuitive, but the clearest water may be way up the creeks where the water ran in clear after the initial muddy runoff. I'd try way back up Bennett's or way back of Float. The water doesn't have to be as clear as normal, but I don't like to fish in cold, muddy water if I can help it. mixermarkb, Dewayne French and *T* 3 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Bluff-Bassin Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Fished at the extreme upper river north of udall yesterday. Water is clear up there 8 to 10'ish. Caught a few nothing big. Ham 1
