Where is the best place to Sucker Grab from the bank?

Roark Creek. I dont think on the lower end up Bull creek very easily accessed by bank.   We used to grab a lot in Roark creek. Park in that big parking lot and make a little hike through the woods

Ok, I'm a newb to Suckers. we don't have em in the part of Ok that I fish.

Whats the allure, are they edible, and when your grabbing, is it the same as we call noodling flatheads in Ok?

Edit: Scrolled down the page and saw grabbing is what we call snagging. Primarily spoon bill in Ok.

Suckers, properly prepared are delicious.  I used to grab them on Roark and occasionally on bull creek but that was over 20 years ago, no idea what the access is like now.  Usually on suckers it is sight grabbing, used to paint the sinker bright orange or some color you could see, and the hook as well.  When a sucker swam between the two orange spots you set the hook as yard as you could.  If doing it for the first time, it takes a little timing practice, and also you would generally take off and run to the nearest tackle shop for heavier line when you started breaking them off on the hook set.  some good memories of grabbing suckers.  I never had much success blind grabbing where you couldn't see and were just casting and snagging.
