Dk, Skunk day post r helpful too. Don't be shy to post them.  The guys on here that post a lot will share even the bad days.  I do as well thinking I at least eliminated water for guys.  May it be striper or black bass.

And do NOT troll in behind someone after they just caught a fish. Had a member here do that to me one day.  That's just wrong. He knows who he is and so do I.

Somebody saw YOU catch a fish?

Very nice stripe. And yes Beaver is a tough lake to fish so I understand why anyone would be tight lipped about it. I'm very tight lipped about all my fishing spots and I don't ever ask anyone where they caught their fish as I would not want to answer the same question myself. Others may beg to differ, but I've had too many instances where I take a friend to my fishing spot and the next weekend him and his buddies are all there. I'm done with that.

And to the guy who says every fisherman should share where they catch their fish. 90% of the time they just want intel on where the fish are biting. Very rarely do they give any feedback or post up anything if they caught fish somewhere nobody knew about. Funny how they will try to play it off like it's just fish, and we're all best friends and can share all our secrets with each other. Let's get real now. I'm not on here much, but I know better than to throw a little fit when I don't see a person give up where he caught his fish. It's very bad form to ask, and even worst to cry about it.

Anyways, rant over. And again very nice stripe stump!

I'm certainly not one that anybody follows but I do ok. I think you can give general areas without killing a spot. I do like to hear where there may be better water conditions. I don't think saying "toward Hickory Creek" is giving away too much or saying "my fish all came   on a bandit 300 about 100' back" or "brooders around Copper Mine" will ruin our fishery. If all info sharing becomes a private message thing then what's the point of the forum. I'm still a newer guy and don't mean to overstep but I learned to fish Beaver from the info Scott posted (plus hours on the water). The last 6 months or so, the tone seems to be turning kinda mean-sprited. High, muddy water will do that. For my 2 cent report, I've been getting some smaller stripers, 4/5 lbs on Redfins (smaller ones) fishing points around dusk into the last light, in water under 10'.  JMO

I know what you mean Bill, but I have lost some friends and fishing partners on this forum and others by talking about lures and locations when as vague as war eagle up to Hickory Creek. Once I posted that we junked fished all the way from War Eagle to Hickory Creek in a tournament and I was told I gave out to much information. So when I am around anyone else or have been given information I don't repeat it, yet I have been accused of doing so when I didn't even know the information myself.

I had one incident a few years back where I fished a tournament with someone I meat on the forum, we had another forum member behind us most of the day. At weigh in that other member approached me and said we got his fish today but he would out run us the next day. Well the next day he did out run us and got to the spot first. I was blamed because I had "talked" and that guy left the forum and has not talked to me since. I gave up tournaments and have watched myself since then.

But if you see me on the lake I will share just about anything, bait, lures information. The only problem with my information I don't know much, but sometimes I do have bait.

Sorry to bring up so much controversy over my bragging about a nice fish, it was the only one I caught that day and just wanted to show off a little.
