Played hooky for a couple of night trips.  Wednesday nigh got cut short by the weather.

Tuesday night we ended up with 13 keepers with several nices ones.  Best 6 would have been an easy 21.  nothing over 4, but lots of 3 1/2 to 4.  caught the bulk on the 1/4 orange hair jig again, but did have a few on a 3/8 brown and blue.  most bites were 10 to 12 ft. deep on bluffs.  water temps mainly 54.

Wednesday started out great.  7 keepers right at dark, and then the clouds rolled in and covered up the moon, and it was over and the weather was getting too close.  Of the seven keeps, 4 were in the 3 three up to 4 range.  caught all seven on the 3/8 brown and blue.  Same depth as the night before.

Did not take any pics because it was hard enough to keep the boat under control with all the wind.  Too bad the cold is coming again tomorrow night.

Never saw or heard another boat either night.  Dummies like me have to go when you can catch the easy ones.

Great report! They are nice fish and sooner or later the real big girls will start to play. I remember in the old days.......................70's and 80's, even I could catch a 6 to 9 lber at night. We fished near the Dam and only fished from 10 P.M. till around 9 A.M. Most fished came on pig/jig or a black spinnerbait.

Awesome stuff Merc!  I picked up a few of those custom jigs - I could not find an uncle john craw trailer - any suggestions on a good trailer I can put on?
