MOPanfisher Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Negative you would be in violation. You may possess no more than the daily limit of any given species while you are on waters, or on the banks of waters, where daily limits for those species apply. awhuber 1
dprice Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Negative you would be in violation. You may possess no more than the daily limit of any given species while you are on waters, or on the banks of waters, where daily limits for those species apply. Ok fisher 2 more questions may possess no more than the daily limit of any given species while you are on waters, or on the banks of waters, where daily limits for those species apply. Any species taken into actual possession, unless released unharmed immediately after being caught, shall continue to be included in the daily limit of the taker for the day. Where only catch-and-release fishing is allowed, fish must be returned unharmed immediately to the water after being caught. The possession limit is twice the statewide daily limit. Fish you take and possess must be kept separate or distinctly identifiable from fish taken by another person. If you are away from your catch, the device holding the fish must be plainly labeled with your full name and address. where are the boundaries here As I read this in a manner to not be held guilty? Thank you for more clarification on this as a sponsor to this page is like to have my fellow friends educated Dprice priceheatingair.com
dprice Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 You are in the next day so I say legal. Now that you have eight you are done until after the walleye dinner. Seems correct to me also As long as I have my name and date and licening on my container we just have many people on here who camp and fish regularly as well as people who live on the waters or near But most importantly our younger crowd ! If this helps protect someone's rights of our hunting and fishing I'd like to be a steward to that But heck I'm Getn old dan hufferd 1 Dprice priceheatingair.com
MOPanfisher Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Not sure what you are asking for clarification on. Are you asking what is the boundary of "the waters and shoreline"? If so you should probably ask an agent. To me it would mean the boat and up to and including the tow vehicle.
dprice Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 To me that is not in violation ? If you don't know the answer I'm ok with that? Was interested in the correct answer and I thot you might I posted what I took as the commentary of how to distinguish this answer? To me those are 2 diferent calendar days and still with in the possession limit ? I was hopeful someone that had the answer would guide everyone to being more educated on this INTERESTING subject? I'll get to question 2 later Dprice priceheatingair.com
Members Hookeyes Posted April 1, 2016 Members Posted April 1, 2016 Ya straighten this Out If I fished 3-30 till midnight and had 4 But stayed at lake and iced my creel And then caught 4 on morning of 3-31 I feel I'd be legal ??? Yes, I think so
awhuber Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I have been on ride alongs with MDC and have seen tickets handed out for too many fish. People floating Cedar Grove to Akers on an over night. One guy had 6 trout 4 in cooler 2 on stringer. Another guy had 8 in his cooler. They told the agent it was two day float. He said how would he know that. Cited The rule can only have daily limit while on the water. Sign here. Have a nice day. tho1mas and Hookeyes 2
MOPanfisher Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Go back and read.the wording it is written very plain. You cannot posession more than a daily limit while on the water or shoreline of a water body in which posession limits apply. If that has somehow irritated you I am sorry, but the law is quite plain. awhuber 1
terryj1024 Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 I was curious about this too so I called the Springfield headquarters at the MDC if you catch 15 crappie before midnight you're allowed 15 crappy after midnight the fish have to be separated that is what they told me was legal you still do not have more than your 30 possession limit of crappie on you they also said if you're worried take the 15 back to your truck I slim down go get 15 more you're still within the possession limit personally I'm not one to split hairs I do not put anything on my bags in my freezer except for the date I feel like it is still a free country and who are they to tell me what I have to write all my bags of fish there are 4 people living in my house three of them have conservation numbers so even though they didn't catch the fish I'm probably never over the legal limit not that I really care this is just my opinion but I am just one of those people that do not live by every single rule and I do not hold it against those that do dprice 1
dprice Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Nope not irritated just doin my part It states if I'm away from my creel I have to mark it Possession is double I can only have a creep limit while on water i continue to look at it like from a fisherman perspective i understand it is very small potatoes Speeding to get there really doesn't make you a criminal either just a infraction of the law here to help terryj1024 1 Dprice priceheatingair.com
