Is anyone willing to share a pic of what their wobblehead set up looks like? I threw one this weekend with no bites on it, but not sure if I had the setup quite right.

I was able to get my first fish ( a nice one as well ) on Merc's Nu Tech w a brown craw right off a bluff wall between Campbell Pt. and Big Creek. That was a fun bite.

We also got hit on some top water action as well - only 1 smaller fish but was glad to see that bite turning on.

Here is a pic of the fish as well as the wobblehead set up that I am not sure if I have set up correctly

BB, nice fish.  I'm not sure if it is the picture angle of the lure, but I hang mine as straight as I can get it.  I've been experimenting with a senko size floating worm on the wobble head to give it more action.  I'm not sure if that will work but I am trying it out.

I think your setup is good, but you may have to try some different colors.  I met Steve (OP) yesterday and gave home some of the baits I made, most in shades of GP with slight variations. Most are beaver size.

My wife, Lily, out fished me by a lot using a skirted PBJ football jig with a homemade 4 inch PBJ Craw.  She worked it sort of like one would work a wobble head, but mostly swimming it near the bottom.  she had a lot of quick strike misses and the best LM was just a pressure bite. I worked a wart & SB.

Bass Blind, after you run that hook through the front of your bait. lay the hook parallel, ( along the side of your bait ), and look where the bend of your hook is in conjunction with your bait. That is where you run the barb of the hook through, it should then lay flat when it is rigged, Your hook should then lay flat on the top of your creature bait, for added security I then (what I would call) skin the point of that hook just into the top of your bait for a bit more weedless protection. Good Luck and Nice fish.

Playing with the bait size can work too. Some of those creatures are pretty bulky. Pepe's dead on about colors.

Hardest part for me with that swing head is forcing myself to not fish it like a jig. Get it on the bottom and just wind it.

Dave, the ability that the bass has to suck that bait in without knowing is pretty cool, you still feel the bump bump tick tick as it crawls along the bottom but there is a difference, took me a bit to figure it out, and is still tricky to detect as I have missed many, the challenge is very cool, as once you set the hook either you get him or you realized you goofed,  and just snagged a rock, lol. It is a blast to say the least to try to figure it out.
