Members KC Steve Posted April 6, 2016 Members Posted April 6, 2016 I haven't been out either...somehow this "work thing" gets in the way! Can't wait!
Members Dkelly-Sfd Posted April 8, 2016 Members Posted April 8, 2016 Been fishing from the bank around Bolivar landing and have done pretty well. They seem to be just starting to consistently show up within the last few days. The bite has started getting good after 7 p.m. in about 3 to 4 fow, catching them on both jigs and bobber/minnows. Had 11 last night with only 2 of those being females. Don't know how much that helps but it's a start. MOPanfisher and VJMAC 2
MOPanfisher Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Mmmmmmm males starting to move shallow just befor dark on the upper portion of the lake? The "big happening" is ready to happen if consistent warm weather and especially warm nights would just show up and stay for more than 24 hrs. slab slinger 1
Members NicknKC Posted April 11, 2016 Members Posted April 11, 2016 We did really good off the dock this weekend. They were deep, 20' FOW catching them over structure in about 10'-12' FOW. Mostly males, couple of big females thrown in. The weather was the main problem Saturday. Really windy, once the sun broke out, the cover under the dock got going. Its only going to get better!
packersooner Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 We got out for a little over half the day on Saturday but only managed five keepers. The pre-stage brush piles that produced a few weeks back were a no go. We finally started locking into a pattern in the shallows later in the afternoon and my cranking/electronics battery died. After jumping from the front batteries didn't work, figured it was best to swap them out and call it a day. Jason

Did get an 8lb flathead though ! Lots a fun on ultralite. Talked to a friend in NE Texas and he said crappie had just started spawning there. Lake Fork.
