Coming to Stockton next week and was wondering if anyone has crappie report for the Sons Creek area south of the power line?  Appreciate the info.

I don't fish for them   just catch them by mistake   But sons creek will have them from mid creek to as far as you want to go id say

I know pea gravel pockets near staging areas  is where they are  currently  with big winds I'd say they will move to creek channel ledges

walleye and female bass will be here  also  id say they will  slow down  considerably

Your question is the mystery of most on this  forum.  When they spawn they will go to the bank.  I have read all sorts of post on where they are right now and the posts are varied.  My advise is to work water that is 10 fow and look for structure with electronics.  Pay attention to water temp.  Last weekend was 53+-.   I would work structure jigging at first and work deeper to shallower.  When you find em you will find em.   Early morning and late in the evening are the best.  Good luck. The best bad advice I can offer.

We were bass fishing up Sons creek yesterday and saw people catching crappie out deeper and right on the bank so they seemed to be all over. Most were fishing shallow with tubes and jigs under a float set 2 or 3 ft deep. We caught 3 big crappie on large spinnerbaits so go figure. Bass fishing was good in the afternoon and had 7 or 8 keepers all on spinnerbaits.

Thank you for the information.  Depending on the weather, I'll be checking out Sons Creek Monday p.m.

I fished  Aldrich today  very slow for the people I talked with.   I continually caught short male bass on spinnerbaits.  Hard to flip as I was drifting around 12 mph  stayed with the spinnerbait

went back lack out to the rollers in state park area  threw  big Rattle traps on trees   Drifted  faster
