Members crappie-hunter Posted April 18, 2016 Members Posted April 18, 2016 I highly recommend the "find mo fish" app for your smartphone. It has the locations of the brush piles on it, and the cell phone service is usually good enough that you can zoom in far enough to get you pretty close. If you allow it to use your gps location you can get right on top of the piles. They set a lot of large cedar trees last year and it has seemed to improve the fishing already this year! dprice, BilletHead and mjk86 3
Unimog Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Some of the cedars they placed are so big they're sticking up out of the water. I threw a Ned rig at one as I was passing by and caught a couple off of it. It's pretty fresh as its still green. BilletHead, dprice and crappie-hunter 3

The ones I have fished so far this year are in 8-10 ft of water, and are only a ft or so below the surface!
Unimog Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 The one I caught a couple fish off of was in about 20'.
dan hufferd Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 This is what I have found. Where you think there should be cover there usually is already some near there.
