dtrs5kprs Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Fish moved around a little yesterday. Still brown fish shallow, but increasingly touchy. Blacks were really eating, but quite a bit deeper, 15' and out. Think a combination of weather and pressure has them out of sorts. They were really pounded all over the 13 area. Couple of "pretty" coves had as many as 5 boats in them, all day, every day. All Ned fish. Had a couple of super dinks jump a junior spook, did not connect. That has to be close, if the water color doesn't kill it. Bite was just pressure at most. We came off at 1230 or so to get John on the road for KC. I'd had enough wind by then. Our best 5 would have been around 13-14# again, mostly largemouth. Trying to talk myself into getting wet this morning. So far dry is winning. Not real hard up to catch one right now. magicwormman and merc1997 Bo 2
dtrs5kprs Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 Sorry...temps were mostly 60-61, nothing warmer. Little bit of brown color coming back, maybe rain will knock it down again.
Quillback Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Looks like some good fishing. Pressure does seem to be pretty intense this year so far. The obvious stuff is getting hammered.
merc1997 Bo Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 pretty much what i found friday night when i took linda out. put in at 7:30 back on the trailer at 11:30. six keeps with a 4 lb. in the mix. those six were practically all the bites we had. i think between all the boats and the weather, they were shut down. one other thing in the area we fished, is there is an enormous amount of shad, and they are off shore, and i think many bass are with them, even at night. bo dtrs5kprs 1

Maybe too thick. Off to chase one. Not super seriously. Fishin4Fun and magicwormman 2

Last Monday, my son and I pulled into a gravel pocket across from Cow Creek and by the time we left, there were 3 more boats. On a monday morning! "There was a time that I didn't fish, but I cannot remember it."
Members NebSchmidty Posted April 18, 2016 Members Posted April 18, 2016 Cow creek was a zoo yesterday by 930. Every secondary point had a boat, plus a few in the pockets too. Pulled the plug early on the daddy fishing, and took the fam gravel fishing for shorts around Indian. Ned's have pretty much been it for us as well. Dry for us too this AM. Missouri omelet at Billy gails is calling my name.
Nitro 750 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Couple of nice LM. Good job, thanks for the report Dave.
Bill Babler Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Thanks Dave continue the great reports. I'm heading up to lake O for 3 days before I get snowed under, to chase the crappie and hoot at the turkeys. Good Luck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
