I will pass the word along. I have a buddy that's looking at a new Lund 1875 Pro Bass today at Whites Marine. He mentioned last night that if he doesn't buy it he is going to keep his Charger, and then find a nice used tin boat to buy. If it's listed here I will send him the info. TinBoats BassClub. Listed this forum in BST; listed Walleye Central; listed Craigslist in Fayetteville and Springfield. I have a Lund Rebel XS 1650 Sport ordered with a 90 Etec.
Ketchup Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I've looked at, and watched videos of that new 1875, and that thing is sharp. I'm sure the model your getting is also. He wants at least an 18' boat. The Lund is 18' 9" with a Merc. 200. Specs show it pushes an easy 64 GPS. He's currently running a 20' Charger with a Yammie 225, so this Lund will do him right. He's wanting to fish in our club, so I'm pretty sure he will be getting that Lund. He's got a tourney today on Pomme and then taking his boat by Whites for them to give trade in price. Tomorrow he leaves for Norfork for 8 days, so knowing him like I do, if there's a chance at all, he will be hauling that new Lund down to Arkansas. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. Ketchup Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Also that 96" beam is huge in person. But so is the price tag. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.

I've owned 3 or 4 new Supreme/Shawnee's I've strapped it on and each time I sell one I just unstrap this motor and put it on the new boat--it's not for sale. The original gas hose inner liner collapsed and I bought a new hose that is supposed to be ethanol proof--(that remains to be seen, but I try to run ethanol free all I can). Anyway, is it better to run the motor out of gas at the ramp or just turn the motor off and leave the gas in the carbs? I've been running it dry for a couple years now and it's not missed a lick--runs great. In my opinion, after owning about every brand, the 25 hp Yamaha is the best motor ever made. It's light weight, has tons of power, and good on gas. I had a 15 hp Yamaha with the same results too. The only problem I've encountered is the starter---the starters seem to be a little short on quality and maybe not heavy duty enough. Also, I mix 50:1 and the manual says 100:1----I'm not ballsy enough to run it that lean---what's your opinion on the mixture too? Thanks Anyone got any advice on running the motor out of gas at the ramp and the mixture?
fishinwrench Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Sorry, I missed your original post. The carb is vented so whether you run the fuel out or not the carb(s) will be dry in a few days. The important thing to drain if the motor isn't going to be used for awhile is the fuel supply hose and primer bulb. Fuel trapped in the hose and primer will go yucky after awhile and cause the hose and primer bulb to break down. If the manufacturer calls for 100:1 then that's what I'd feed it. They've done the research and should know what's best.
