fishinwrench Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Google Earth/Google Maps, right at your fingertips. Better than any other map I know of.
moguy1973 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Here's a map of all the accesses: http://www.missouricanoe.org/river-maps/jamesfinley.html Pair that with Google maps and you'll know where you are going. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
holleybob Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I would recommend the Paddler's Guide to Missouri. It has all floatable streams in Missouri and highlights each one mile by mile with access point, hazzards, springs etc.. I've used it to plan floats as it tells you how many miles between points of access. They are sold by the Missouri Dept of Conservation and can be bought at most MDC facilities. I think it was around $10-$15. I got mine at their headquarters on Mayfair st in Springfield but have also seen them at the Springfield Nature Center. This is what the James river page looks like:
