Members crappiecatchingbrad
Thinking about taking vacation this weekend and take kids and wife fishing. Usually fish up from Pittsburgh. Any info would be appreciated.
shockley32
Fished the last two evenings. Crappie are coming from pre-spawn areas, keeping the boat in 10-15 feet of water and catching them in 6-8 feet deep. Good luck this weekend. packersooner
Got the wife and daughter out for about a half day on Friday. Fished up the river from Nemo. Could not find any crappie on the banks. We backed off to brush piles along the shore side of the channel. It was still slow, but we managed a dozen with some really nice slabs. Caught some on jigs, some on straight minnows, and still others on a jig/minnow combo. Jig color seemed to change throughout the day. Gray and pink/chart seemed to work the best. Water temps were 62-67 degrees. BTW, gotta give a shout out to the marina at Nemo. Motored over there to buy minnows and found out that my live well pump had quit. They promptly took a garden hose and filled up the well for us. Jason BilletHead, Hammer time, tho1mas and 3 others
slab slinger
Love seeing the kids enjoying the day fishing with dad. Looks like she couldn't be happier. BilletHead
