If you don't know how your gun shoots, you should not be hunting with it. If I am hunting I only shoot to kill, I have already done my practicing else where. Some folks are weird to me. :blink:

I always knew how my gun was patterning, don't think I shot at anything else except a coyote with turkey loads, they are too expensive and too much recoil for fun shooting.

old Remington model 58  isnt as powerful  today but still effective and patterns well

I would rather have a gun that shoots well than how powerful it may be. You can make up for less power by better shot placement or getting them in closer.
