Mitch f Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Horrible "suspect who was recently released from prison", makes you wonder what the heck he was doing on the loose. tho1mas and brittsnbirds 2 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
dtrs5kprs Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 That shooting happened about 15 miles from us, and the suspect made it up to within 5 miles or so, before heading for KCMO. Our kids' schools were on lockdown. Tragic deal. Sounds like the suspect had served a sentence and was released normally from the KS state pen here in Lansing. Could have been much worse, with more deaths. Really surprised KCMOPD didn't end his escapades permanently. KCK and KCMO tend to not pull punches in those situations.

ness Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 The officer was laid to rest on Saturday in his hometown of Weston, MO. I happened to be going up there for a festival there that day and scattered all along the highway were groups of people waiting for the funeral procession to arrive. We didn't see the actual procession, but this is what it was like: John
