fishinwrench Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Why do you think a jig has caught more big bass than any other bait ? After you decide on that, why is a buzzbait #2 ? dprice 1
Members Hillbilly Bass Posted May 16, 2016 Author Members Posted May 16, 2016 Man there's a lot of great advice here. I'm more confident now by far!!!! I got a little shopping to do though
Members Hillbilly Bass Posted May 17, 2016 Author Members Posted May 17, 2016 I do have another question. Do you guys trim the skirts or weed guards on your jigs?
Mitch f Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 My .2 cents... Jig trailers are either one of 2 kinds, a "Get their attention" flapping type with a lot of movement, or a do nothing finesse type. They both work great under the right conditions. When the bite is off, they dont want all that flapping around. Another thing regarding the skirts, one of the best selling LOZ jigs (especially winter time) from what ive heard recently has been a very sparsely tied skirt with only about 16 strands. How many jigs has a big bass seen in his life? to me they all look the same...try something a little different and fish slower and youll catch the biggest fish. bassfisher 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
bassfisher Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I have been catching big bass in 3 feet of water on chunk rock banks, I fish slower and get better results. This is my ammo . I have these made, you can not even buy it. Mitch f and dprice 2
dprice Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Rap has it 5/16. -3/8 jig in a couple colors and 3 or 4 diferents trailers . Will give you a huge lift Wrench has something that will cause your world to change . Although not for all. A buzz bait is a rush and a half. Almost addiction material. The meanest bass in the lake will try to take a buzz bait away from you almost every time Dprice priceheatingair.com
