Walleye ?

No one is posting pics of Walleye and I have not caught one lately. Where did they go? Anyone holding back?

Stump, I've caught 4 eyes this year, all just short of being dinner. No pattern at all. 2 on a Ned, one on a spinnerbait, and one on a 3" grub.  All mid-day in less than 10 fow.

Someone had a good one in the Tuesday night jackpot so we weighed it for fun..6 lbs. on a jig.

One small one on a spoon yesterday.

Caught one Friday in about 10 FOW on a white grub.  Saw another one miss a keitech right at the boat.  Middle of the day.  12 bridge area.  Both were small.

Went from having a two man limit by 1100am to one keeper all day. Fished out for 18". Fish. I think many close to 18" are keep. Last two years have a declined in walleyes

I've caught 2 over 19" and 1 short one in the last week. Caught all 3 among schools of crappie on jigs. I call them "happy accidents".

Maybe they have stopped being open water feeders and are hanging close to trees and brush now ? I was on them last summer and fall when I was spooning trees but I only do that when the fishing is tough and wind isn't blowing. You could be on to a pattern. My PB was 8lbs years ago on a drop shot in tree 30 feet down.
