Ketchup Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Anyone other than myself ever wonder why they put the steering on the opposite side than they do on a vehicle? Anyone have an answer without looking on the web? TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
fishinwrench Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Two reasons. Engine prop torque lists a boat to the left, so driver weight on the right helps balance that. And Cable steering routs on the right and needs to attach to the Starboard (right) side of the motor....or else the steering will be reversed (a steering wheel turned to the right will make the boat go LEFT if attached otherwise). mjk86 and Pat Magee 2
