rangerman Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Well spent some time up north went one week with boat, second week without for some family time. Walleye bite was typical post spawn bite, trolling cranks mostly flicker shads and minnows. Caught a few, but weather was really nasty. Second trip I night fished from the bank as everyone slept and caught some solid fish slow rolling large husky jerks and rogues. They would inhale a #14 husky jerk like I have never seen. Sometimes with just 10 or so feet of line out. Had 8 in 2 and a short night from 9pm to 11. Could have caught 5 fish limits but saw no reason too as a couple of these fish feed a family a couple of meals. Shortest was 23 inches with two over 28. Sooooooo, for persons who asked about fishing from shore up there here you go.. These are some boat fish---- All in all, fishing from bank and watching walleye feed in afire or six feet of water at night was probably the coolest thing I have ever done. Used a red and green light to look for spots they were feeding. As soon as the moon would rise they would move into the banks. Cool stuff. Ham, Pat Magee, bfishn and 2 others 5
