grizwilson Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Floated a SW MO stream Saturday and Sunday, did very well on SM and goggle eye. When I came in Sunday had two voice mail crappie reports from Truman, so Monday morning headed out. Unlike the weekend which generated the good reports it was clear bluebird skies and HOT. Fished Cedar trees in 12-20 fow, fish were caught about 10 ft down the best places were near channel swings, it seemed the fish would suspend in deeper open water and move in and out of the trees to feed. By afternoon the wind had gotten out of hand in my area so moved to more open water brush piles to finish a limit. It was tough slow all day deal for a limit. Tuesday was a bit cooler but the same pattern keep tree hoping until too windy then move to brush. The best tree in two days produced 4 fish, the best brush pile 2.... Key keep moving. I fished a minnows and jigs. All fish but one came on the minnow, the one was on a chartreuse carrot stick. Hope this helps someone else. Now off to Stockton to hunt walleye. g bassfisher 1 “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
Ham Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 My slow days mean not catching enough to bother cleaning ( I want a minimum of 4 > 10 inch crappie). ANY day you get your limit is NOT slow. Good for you getting out there and getting them. bassfisher 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
