Quillback Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Fished the last couple of mornings, caught fish on a variety of baits, but never hammered them on anything specific. Had early top water action both mornings, on the 29th is was brief, but the fish were in one spot, whereas today the fish were scattered in the main channel chasing shad and the bite stayed going for a while, if I could get a bait on them, they would hit it, but just could not find them schooling to get a good, consistent TW bite. I got a couple of keeper large mouth that were just out in the middle of nowhere, but hit the top water. It's hard to pin them down when they are roaming around out there. Yesterday the Keitech bite was decent for fish down 15-30 feet off a couple of steep, rocky points, but today that bite just wasn't happening. Today found some Ned fish and a few jig fish. Jig fish and Ned fish were right up on the bank off rocky banks. Caught 40 bass in the two mornings, might have had 6-7 keepers, nothing over 2 lbs. 96 CHAMP, Diamond City Fisher, Muddy Water and 7 others 10
176champion Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Nice report Quill!! How's boat traffic down that way ? I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
m&m Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 QB, thanks for the information. I am gonna try Satruday morning in the dam area. Weather report indicates it may be raining until around 8am so maybe I can get a couple of hours of fishing in without worrying about the jet skis and pleasure boaters. I am hopeing to see a TW bite early and then throw that Keitech and c-rig to see what bites. Mike

Mike I don't think you can ever count on no water skiers or jet skiers on Table Rock after 6/1 until about 9/7. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
m&m Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Ham, I'm hoping that the rain will delay their arrival. Mike
Ham Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Hey Mike, I hope it works out for you, but I wouldn't even get that you would be free of that scourge at 3 in the morning. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Pepe Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 We left the lake this afternoon, from Shell Knob, and it was already a zoo. The Wichita Navy was out in full force
