Blll Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 The hot weather makes me put a limit on lots of things. Always stop playing golf when I reach 100.....weather or not I've finished the front 9. Champ188 and Mike jones 2
Mike jones Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Jeff Cook is having a benefit tourney Saturday night for Rachelle Jones who has been in the mayo clinic in Arizona for a while. I applaud him for raising money for her family but the tourney hours are 7pm-7am. I know a lot of guys that are fishing it but we are not...too old for a 12 hour all nighter and it will be tough keeping fish alive for those long hours. Champ188 1
DADAKOTA Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 He'd have been better off going 7-11 with weigh in and then 6-10 with weigh in. I understand it is for a good cause. 12 hours is ridiculous. Mike jones 1

Basically have two tournaments in one and not put the stress on the fish. Bg193ch 1
DADAKOTA Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Be an interesting format whther you treat as 2 separate derbies or one continuous one. You could pay the leader of the first session a couple hundred and then the overall leader after the 2nd session gets the big prize. Bg193ch, Mike jones and Champ188 3
Champ188 Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 That's an interesting idea for sure, guys. I could see something like that working after you got it off the ground. Some of the old guard tournament guys around here talk a lot about missing the old all-nighter events like Cook is doing. Not sure why they were so popular except that there were some big sacks weighed in because of the extended hours. I'm sure a heckuva lot of fish died, too, as a result of being hauled around that long. Seems kinda primitive these days with what we now know about fish care and the heat. Mike jones 1
Sprint21fter Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 On table rock, Campbell points end the year championship is an all nighter unless they changed it, is in September when water temps cool down a bit. Unreal sacks of fish have been weighed in over the years.

It's the internet, grow some thicker skin buddy. Panties in a wad much? Pwahahaha.

Still trying to achieve the 'a-hole of the site' award? Doing a darn good job!! It's funny how you are the topic of conversation at the boat ramp..like I said before, just another blow hard hiding behind a 'puter.
