lmt out Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 I am no expert but went on Tuesday with the wife. Caught 5 walleye with 2 Keepers in about 3 1/2 hrs. They r a lot tougher this year than in past summers. We fished a little deeper in the 20 to 25 ft depth. It got to freaking hot so we left before noon. dan hufferd 1

I was up at Warsaw a couple of years ago fishing out of Osage Bluff and managed a few.

Last summer walleye fishing in Stockton was great with jigs and crawlers. Great numbers and better size too.

I am still trying to figure out Stockton.

We have caught bigger fish this year. Last year, especially this time of year we were catching loads and loads of shorts but cant seem to find them this year.

It makes me wonder if people are taking short fish home. I have only been checked once on memorial day. 8/6/16 fishing was slow and the lake has been pulled down a lot ! I would guess 8 to 10 of bare bank showing. Thermocline looked like it was about 22 feet.
Members lundone Posted August 9, 2016 Members Posted August 9, 2016 WP, I have fished Truman a number of times and if it works on Stockton it will work on Truman. It has some very fine walleye fishing and it doesn't seem to get the pressure that Stockton does. I was out yesterday in the heat of the day and had one keeper and one short but pulled cranks on lead and came up with some crappie and bluegill so I did not go hungry. Did not see any thermocline. They are still running water but only in the late afternoon which is probably a good time to go. dan hufferd and Hunter91 2
